Press and media reports on Cave Lighting - year after year
Grottes de Han, Belgium
Video report from June 2026 in French by Céline Petit
Some collaborations become milestones, the Grottes de Han is one of them.
Deep beneath the Belgian Ardennes, the Grottes de Han reveal one of the country’s most remarkable natural treasures.
Shaped over time by the River Lesse, this vast underground world extends through more than 14 km of chambers and galleries, carved into limestone formed hundreds of millions of years ago. Its monumental volumes, delicate draperies, stalactites, stalagmites and mineral textures make it a truly unique geological site.
For Cave Lighting, the story began in 2012 with a first test installation in the Draperies Chamber — one of the cave’s most technically demanding areas, regularly affected by flooding, water movement and challenging underground conditions.
That first step proved decisive.
The success of the test phase led to a much larger project: the progressive renovation of the cave’s lighting, carried out in several stages until 2018. At the time, Cave Lighting was still in its early years, and the Grottes de Han were among the first major sites to place their trust in the company’s vision and expertise.
The result is a project built on close collaboration: combining the cave team’s deep knowledge of the site with Cave Lighting’s technical approach to LED illumination in underground environments.
Through carefully chosen colour temperatures, beam angles, contrasts and subtle highlights, the new lighting brings out the depth, textures and natural architecture of the cave — offering visitors a renewed way to experience this exceptional heritage.
A bold early project, a strong partnership, and still today one of Cave Lighting’s most meaningful achievements.
Grottes de Saint Christophe

They trusted us, and it's a success!
It's been a year since Cave Lighting completed the lighting refurbishment at Saint-Christophe-la-Grotte in France, and the feedback couldn't be more positive. According to site manager Amandine Duval, they have truly rediscovered the caves. The new lighting and remote control system allows you to control the emotions and reactions of visitors like never before, bringing the natural beauty of the cave to life in a whole new way.
What you like best:
- A completely new perception of the cave
- More control over visitors' emotions through dynamic lighting
- A smooth collaboration and continuous support you can rely on
Thank you once again to the entire Saint-Christophe-la-Grotte team for your trust and kind words!

Light beneath the Alps
Beneath the Valais Alps, the Lac Souterrain de Saint-Léonard — Europe’s largest underground lake — has found a new light.
Since 2024 and in collaboration with Cave Lighting, this hidden world now reveals its crystal waters and ancient walls with a renewed sense of magic. The new illumination transforms each reflection, each silence, into an experience of wonder.
A project born from passion and respect for nature, carried out together with Cédric Savioz and his team — proving that light, when guided by care, can truly bring places to life.
